Congratulations on your purchase of an Aust-tek Product. You now own a product from the leading brand in outdoor utility tarpaulin manufacture. Our commitment to quality and innovation in all of our products ensures that each one offers unrivalled durability and reliability. Below are instructions to help you keep your tarpaulin in good working order for years.
Upon Purchase
Your new tarpaulin has been stored tightly rolled since production. Unroll your new tarpaulin and it is ready to use. Moisture may accumulate if stored in wet conditions. Please ensure that your tarpaulin is dry before storing. Your tarpaulin can remain rolled and be ready for use. Protect your tarpaulin by storing in your provided stuff sack.
Storage Recommendations
Store your Smart Tarp or Tough Tarp rolled in your storage bag in a dry place. (Suggestions: in car, in shed, in cupboard or in a storage area.)
If the tarpaulin is left damp for a long time, mildew may cause damage. This is not covered by warranty. To clean your tarpaulin wash in a tub, using a soft bristle brush and any mild household degreasing cleaner or mild detergent. Machine washable on delicate cycle, cold wash.
Tips to Protect Your Tarpaulin
• Always check for potential puncturing hazards under tarpaulin area (thorns, sharp rocks, sharp corners etc).
• Do not expose tarpaulin to flame or sparks.
• Do not contaminate with harsh chemicals.
• Do not expose tarpaulin to long periods of direct sunlight.
• Dry tarpaulin before storing.
5 Year Limited Express Warranty
The warranty covers the replacement of any tarp that is defective (unless those defects result from: continuous prolonged exposure to sunlight for a period greater than 3 years or the abuse or misuse of the tarp, such as puncture, or damage caused from excessive wind, heat or chemicals).
What is covered:
• Your tarpaulin is warrantied for 5 years, from the date of purchase, against defects in materials and workmanship.
• Should the tarpaulin be found defective under this warranty, we will repair it or replace it at our option. Tarpaulins may be replaced with a new design.
• Normal wear, puncture, abrasion, misuse, alteration, abuse, or taking apart of the product is not covered.
• Aust-tek will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
• Shipping charges to an Authorised Repair Centre for a damaged tarpaulin are not covered and are the responsibility of the customer. Return shipping charges for the repaired tarpaulin are covered.
*Not suitable for the following:
Smart Tarp or Tough Tarp are not suitable for the following uses:
- Vehicle cover
- Antique furniture cover
- Cover for expensive and precious items
How to obtain warranty or repair service for damaged tarpaulin:
• To assure proper return of your repaired or replaced tarpaulin, include a description of the problem, your name, shipping address, daytime phone number, item name and a copy of the original invoice.
• Products sent to a repair centre must be clean or they will be returned to the sender without notice.
• Service charges may vary from country to country. Please contact the appropriate service centre to receive a return authorization number and estimated service fee.
